Students apply to be part of the this team to help foster a community of leaders around our building. You will find these students meeting before school starts, as well as volunteering for jobs around campus.

SPARTAN COLOR GUARD
Grade Levels Offered: 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade

Students are responsible for putting the U.S. Flags and the Texas Flags outside on the poles each morning and taking them back down at the close of the school day.
When we meet: Every day at 7:15 AM & 2:45 PM
ROBOTICS

Students meet after school to study the fundamentals of robotics. They learn coding and other technology-based skills that will help them compete in the annual district tournament.

Students have the opportunity to help get the word out each morning to the entire student body by working hard to share the announcements. The announcements are recorded the day before with the latest happenings. Students have the opportunity to work behind the scenes or on camera.

Students participate in this pep squad to get the student body motivated during campus events, including games, pep rallies, and community events. They are full of energy and maintain a positive attitude.

The Elementary UIL Club provides a fantastic opportunity for students to enhance their academic and creative abilities. We offer a wide range of categories, including:
- Creative Writing (English & Spanish)

- Storytelling (English & Spanish)
- Oral Reading (English & Spanish)
- Number Sense (English & Spanish)
- Maps, Graphs & Charts.

SPARTANS SPELLING CLUB

Spelling Club participants apply for participation and begin meeting in the Fall on a weekly basis. They not only study the words that will be used for the UIL Spelling Competition for the next year, but they also take a deep dive into spelling rules, morphology, handwriting and spelling tips. The students compete and practice in a number of different ways, including written tests, oral bee, games and more. They are well-prepared for next level competition in the Spring when UIL practice begins.

SINGING SPARTANS

Students have had the opportunity to use their voice to stand on stage of the campus all the way to performing with Grammy-nominated artist, SaulPaul at SXSW (South By Southwest). These students put in hours of practice afterschool to bring melodies to the ears of their listeners.
