Manor ISD has named Adriana Gloria as the new principal of Lagos Elementary School, bringing more than a decade of experience in education and a deep connection to the Manor community.
Gloria began her career in education 11 years ago with Manor ISD, inspired by a desire to give back to the community she has proudly called home for more than 21 years. Throughout her time in the district, she has served in a variety of roles, including bilingual teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal, building strong relationships with students, families, and staff while remaining focused on student achievement and growth.

In the Summer of 2024, Mrs. Thorn was announced as the Assistant Principal for Lagos Elementary. She began her teaching career in her hometown of Galveston, Texas, where she spent five years in the classroom before relocating to the Austin area in 2018. That same year, she became a part of the Lagos Elementary community as a 4th grade math teacher. Since then, she has served as a classroom teacher, an instructional coach, and now proudly in her new role as Assistant Principal.
Building strong, meaningful relationships with staff, students, and families is something Mrs. Thorn values deeply. She looks forward to continuing to support and grow the amazing community at LES.
